Synopsis: The U.S.S. Wyvern, an Intrepid-class starship, prepares
to leave Spacedock. The crew boards the ship, and the Wyvern is put through
its shakedown cruise before heading out for Starbase 185.
Synopsis: The Wyvern receives an automated distress signal from
the U.S.S. Osprey, an Excelsior-class starship that has been retasked as
a cargo ship running between Starbase 185 and Earth. The Osprey is dead
in space after being effected by an unexplained power drain phenomenon in
the area. While unable to retrieve the Osprey or identify the source of
the power drain, the Wyvern’s crew is able to rescue the Osprey’s
crew and transport them to Starbase 185.
Synopsis: While investigating a previously unexplored planet for
a possible Federation colony, the crew of the U.S.S. Wyvern encounters a
ship representing the Thrassi Empire. The Thrassi claim ownership of the
planet, requiring the crew of the Wyvern to retrieve the away teams surveying
the planet. After communication is established, a delegation from the Wyvern
visit the Thrassi for their evening meal, before negotiations begin to determine
the fate of the planet.
Synopsis: The Wyvern investigates an unusual asteroid
discovered along their patrol route. After retreiving the asteroid for study,
the Wyvern is beseiged by spider-like creatures with the ability to eat
through metals. The crew manages to capture two of the spiders, until it
is discovered that the asteroid is in fact a collection of the spiders'
eggs, which hatch and unleash a large number of baby spiders onto the ship.
The crew is eventually able to round up all the spiders, transporting them
back into the asteroid field and leaving a beacon to warn future visitors.
Synopsis: The Wyvern is assigned to escort the Golden
Dragon through a trade corridor to the Tarc Osira outpost in Ildesh space.
While en-route, the Wyvern and the Golden Dragon are attacked by a group
of Ildeshi Pirates; while the pirates are defeated, the attack draws the
scrutiny of a nearby Ildesh patrol who believe the Wyvern was intending
to attack the Golden Dragon.
Synopsis: Upon the arrival of the Wyvern's new executive
officer, the Wyvern departs from Ildesh-controlled space to negotiate with
a group identified as Remu terrorists. The Remu have captured a research
outpost in Romulan space, which was operated jointly by Federation and Romulan
scientists. While a hostage rescue mission appears to go off without a hitch,
an energy field envelops the planetoid after the away teams return to the
ship. Investigating further, the Wyvern sends down another away team in
the Fermi to locate missing science personnel.
